Photography Education & Experience -
In 2002, I found photography, or should I say it found me. Since the first time I picked up a camera and developed the film myself in a darkroom to today when I am able see immediate results through digital format, I still get excited anticipating the outcome. Eventually, I earned a Photography Degree from Austin Community College in Austin, Texas. The photography program there was excellent, and offered more than I could find at any other college in Texas. While finishing with my degree and after graduating, I was employed by Jack Puryear of Puryear Photography. During my employment with Jack, I was fortunate enough to help with the Portrait, Event & Commercial aspects of his business but the major responsibility I had was to run the operations for his business venture, Digital Race Photography. In this role I handled the photography, editing, printing, marketing and general management, taking along my own assistant to race tracks and race events across the entire country, for 52 weeks a year.
A little about me -
I am very happily married & have 3 children. My primary source of income comes from my job as a Drilling Fluids Engineer for M-I Drilling Fluids. I basically get paid to play with mud every day. What can I say, I guess some people never really grow up.
Mary Lipp
My beautiful wife & mother of 3, Mary, is a stay-at-home mom. She is currently home-schooling our oldest child while keeping the other 2 at home as well (talk about a full time job). In addition to all this, she also takes care of scheduling, pricing and assisting when needed for Brian Lipp Photography.
